We met in Las Vegas in early July 85.
Two years later we married in the
United Methodist Church. In July 85
I had arrived in Las Vegas from Nebraska. Rosemary was employed by
the Nevada State Gaming Commission.
In 2006, after 21 years of LV we
decided to move to Port Angeles,
Washington to get away from the "push
and shove" and to be closer to two
of our greatgranddaughters. It is a
vast change in weather from the desert
to which we had become accustomed.
Acclimation is slow in coming !!
I have never grown such large turnips before. We will have them with the green tops and pork chops. The snow peas will make a wonderful part of the salad.
The greens from the top of the turnip are good cooked just like spinach. It has its own unique taste. We add a little vinager and seasoning (i.e. salt/pepper). The snow peas end up in a salad or a stir fry pan. UUMMMMMM!!
